Make time for yourself
Many lessons and seminars run for around forty-five minutes, which makes it a familiar length to study in. Use it to review a lecture, work through a topic, or run a class activity. The countdown is large, quiet and easy to read.
Open your notes or the recording and spend the session turning them into something useful: a one-page summary, a list of questions, a few worked examples. Stop at the end and write down what still feels unclear. That list is where the next session starts. If you are reviewing several lectures, give each its own forty-five minutes rather than skimming them all at once.
Teachers can use the countdown for an activity or a test section; open fullscreen so it is readable from the back of the room and turn on Keep screen on, where supported. The countdown waits at the end rather than starting a break, so you choose when the next part of the lesson begins. Students can use the same length to rehearse a timed section of an exam paper.
This page sets a five-minute short break and a fifteen-minute long break after four completed focus phases. If forty-five minutes leaves you wanting more rest, open Custom and lengthen the short break. Two forty-five-minute sessions with a short break between them make a solid morning of study.
Yes. It runs from a fixed end time, so switching tabs or a laptop going to sleep does not make it drift.
In a room you can choose Hide controls or Minimal to keep the scene and the time and little else. Fullscreen works on every timer page.
Sound is off until you choose it. Use headphones, or keep the timer silent and rely on the visual countdown.
Yes. Open Custom and enter 45 for focus and any whole number up to 180 for the short and long breaks. The change applies to your next timer.
